Maffra Almond Development

At the beginning of 2017 Exact Contracting were engaged by GoFarm Australia to provide a turn-key solution for the development of the Maffra and Piambie Almond developments.

Before the end of August 2017, less than 7 months from commencement at site, the Maffra project was successfully irrigating 875 hectares of newly planted almond trees. This first stage of the Maffra project, included the successful delivery and construction of;

  • 2000 Lps Pump Station at the Murrumbidgee River
  • 6 kms of 1200mm GRPP Rising Mainline
  • 800 ML on farm dam
  • Dam Pump Station, including Filtration and Fertigation Station
  • Over 20 kms of irrigation mainlines, 900mm GRP through to 100mm PVC
  • 50 Field Valve Assemblies for the consolidated control and filtration of 232 field valves
  • Over 181 kms of irrigation submains and flushing submains
  • In excess of 2,500 kms of pressure compensating drip tube

The second stage works commenced in January 2018 and includes the planting of a further 825 hectares of almond trees. This will complete the Maffra planting of 1700 hectares in less than two years. The 2018 development works being completed by Exact Contracting include;

  • A second Dam Pump Station and additional works to complete the River Pump Station
  • A further 20 kms of irrigation mainlines, 750mm GRP through to 100mm PVC
  • A further 52 Field Valve Assemblies for the control and filtration of 226 field valves
  • A further 175 kms of irrigation submains and flushing submains
  • A further 2,350 kms of pressure compensating drip tube
